And yes I need help, health is now my number one reason to loose weight, so we will be in this together.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8028099156491630954.post-210120279842501002007-08-25T07:43:00.000-04:002007-08-25T07:43:00.000-04:00As I have learned with my husband who is a smoker,...As I have learned with my husband who is a smoker, what you say to her probably will not matter. If she is convinced it will help her and she want to try it, no amount of talking will convince her.
I have heard some bad things about Alli including the fact that it causes bowel leakage :(. And noone should take anything chemical like this for a long period of time. Perhaps after she tries it she will realize that it is not the best thing for her. My advice - support her efforts to lose weight and get healthy. Don't knock the Alli, but just let her know it's not something you would chose.

That way you are keeping the dialogue open and she can feel comfortable talking with you about her progress if it works or trying something new if it doesn't.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm over 50 and I finally found a medically supervised program that is working for me and I'm not hungry at all (provides 5 meals a day and it's affordable). Nothing else worked for me, I have a very very hard time losing, I have like 0 metabolism - so I can thrilled to finally be losing steady and without hunger (a true miracle because I used to be constantly hungry).

If your mom decides to look into something different I'd be happy to talk with her.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
